Say hello to a new and efficient way to catch files from a variety of external providers.

The new Asset submission block lets you source assets from providers, partners, and users without providing them Frontify access, and also from your own colleagues who are not editors.

The block is designed to streamline your workflows, making collaboration with partners and colleagues more efficient than ever.

New Features 🆕

The following new feature was released to enhance your experience:

  • Guidelines: Embed Block can now be copied and is part of all duplication jobs
    In the past, Embed Blocks could not be copied and duplicated. Now, this feature is available on all Guidelines and does not affect duplicate pages or the new copy function in the Content Editor.
  • Guidelines: Icon Library Block can now be copied and is part of all duplication jobs
    In the past, Icon Library Blocks could not be copied and duplicated. Now, this feature is available on all Guidelines and does not affect duplicate pages or the new copy function in the Content Editor.

  • Libraries: The default order for assets in the library frontend is fixed, and now users can sort assets in the way they want, while selection is preserved after reload.
  • Desktop App: We fixed an endless loading of assets when there were empty filter facets.

  • Integrations: Optimizely v12
    We introduced a brand new integration that supports version 12 of Optimizely. The integration allows users to attach your on-brand Frontify images and icons to Optimizely without ever leaving the Optimizely environment. Get more information here.

This week, we crushed these bugs to give you a better experience:

  • Libraries: We introduced a 15x performance boost to the loading of asset relations when opening the detail asset view on Library Pages.
  • Libraries: We fixed a bug where it was not possible to download single assets via the new bulk selection from publicly shared guidelines.
  • Digital & Print Templates: The text that appears in a template view mode now also appears in the edit mode.
  • Guidelines: The duplication of a guideline now has the same navigation order as the original guideline.

The following new feature was released to enhance your experience:

  • Integrations: Figma App updates
    Editors can now choose the format of the preview image when the asset is imported. Choosing PNG over SVG can resolve rendering issues with filters, shadows, and other Figma features. The file size of the preview images is now also displayed and can help identify unexpectedly large images. We’ve also added support for sections and prototype flows that could previously not be imported with the Figma app.
