This week, we crushed these bugs to give you a better experience:

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - You can now add a background color to your polygon or circle image, even if it has an initially transparent background.

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - Rectangles with the type "unassigned" are now displayed with "normal" corners.

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - The changed background color of an element is now displayed in edit mode, even if the original color was a gradient.

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - Replacing the image on a polygon or a circle is now possible even if the background color was applied to the image element.

• Libraries: We will no longer display CDN links for non-previewable files.

• Libraries: Deselect suggesting tags now is working fine.

This week, we crushed these bugs to give you a better experience:

• Icon Library: We fixed an issue in the icon library pages where downloading all icons in a format different than svg was not possible if they shared the same name.

• Digital & Print Templates: The request approval checkbox state shows the correct information instead of unchecking itself.

• Document Library: We added an IDML extension to the allowed upload documents list so IDML files can be attached again.

• Projects: We have resolved an issue where project metadata remained unchanged despite user selection.

• Projects: We fixed an issue that caused Sketch artboards to no longer display all detail layers in Inspect mode.

This week, we crushed these bugs to give you a better experience:

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - We fixed an issue with specific fonts not being rendered correctly in the download.

• Digital & Print Templates: InDesign - We added minimum height or width support in auto-sizing text fields. Existing templates must be re-imported to take this improvement into account.

• Digital & Print Templates: We fixed an issue that images weren't cropped correctly in download when "auto-sizing" settings had been applied to the images somewhen in the past.

• Libraries: Tags with special characters can now be created and searched correctly.

• Libraries: Backend viewers with edit permission restricted can now see the custom metadata.

• Libraries: We improved the performance of the document library guidelines.

The following new features were released to enhance your experience:

• Digital & Print Templates: Fit images within frames
  The Fit option allows you to fit an image in its original ratio into a specified image frame. This especially (but not only) opens up use cases for logos of different sizes and ratios, which can now fit into specific image frames. All our image options are described in our help article.

• Digital & Print Template: Personal project first entry in new publications
  We have changed the default behavior when creating publications from guidelines: now, the first project in the list of available projects is always the personal project.

Improvements 🛠️

This week, we crushed these bugs to give you a better experience:

• Guidelines: We fixed the issue with the attachment content block, where deleting one of the attachments from the multiple attachments in the block would corrupt the block settings format. This would make the block display empty, and attachments would be unavailable for download.

• Libraries: We fixed an issue that appeared short-term on the library view, where the asset expiration date was not respected, and expired assets would be displayed by default and in search results on the frontend view of the library.

• Platform: We fixed an issue with the access request approval process, where approving access requests on admin view would not take effect, and users who requested access still won't see the requested guidelines.

• Platform: We fixed the issue where guidelines' content targeted to specific target groups was unavailable to them. Users who should have been able to access the content had a "403 access denied" message instead.

• Platform: We fixed an issue with 2FA activation, where users would be redirected to the same 2FA activation screen after they filled in the activation code. That blocked users off from their accounts and stuck them on 2FA activation screens.

• Libraries: Required metadata
  Owners and editors can now define which metadata properties must be completed on assets to improve discoverability and search result quality for end users. Discover more in this help article.

• Libraries: Sort custom metadata properties
  Using drag-and-drop, you can now adjust the sort order of custom metadata property to your heart's content. This sort will be reflected immediately for metadata editing and consumer library page views.

• Libraries: Rename property options
  Renaming options for single- and multi-select metadata properties provide extra flexibility. Quickly correct a typo instead of having to delete the option and create a new one. Simply click on the option name to edit it.

• Libraries: Add help text to custom metadata properties
  Providing editors with more context for a custom metadata property is now possible thanks to help text. Add a short text below the property to guide editors in filling in appropriate values.

• Libraries: Preview custom metadata properties from the management area
  Understanding what the custom metadata will look like to an editor is a piece of cake in the new metadata management area. The preview section to the right of the property set-up clearly displays the metadata and allows the user to test it before saving changes.

• Libraries: Bulk adjust asset download protection
  Set or change one or more assets' download protection settings directly from the library overview in the new editing sidebar. Simply select the assets you want to change the settings for, open the settings tab of the right-hand editing sidebar, and toggle the download protection setting of your choice.

• Libraries: Bulk edit asset titles and descriptions
  Save clicks and extra navigation into single assets by editing the asset titles and descriptions in bulk. From the asset overview of your library, you can select the assets you wish you give the same description or title to and add this information in the bulk editing sidebar.

• Integrations: SharePoint
  Connect Microsoft SharePoint with your Frontify libraries and projects and start using Frontify assets within the SharePoint sites. Get more info here.

• Libraries: Custom metadata multi-select property with a long list of options works correctly and is not cut off anymore.

• Libraries: Licenses, in the consensus modal, are now sorted the way users sorted them in the library settings.

• Libraries: We are now able to recognize conditional facets when it's based on the default document category facet.

• Document Library: We added a consistent way to remove facets type document_category.

• Digital & Print Templates: We removed overly strict usage permission for image collections in the image gallery that prevented some users from using the images.

• Digital & Print Templates: A "0" as the only content in a text field is now rendered normally in the export. Before, the text field was considered empty.

• Digital & Print Templates: We fixed an issue in our external data feature: now the search in the table where you can select the data works fine.

Findability refers to how simple it's to locate an asset when you (or your end users) need it. How much does it cost to find a specific resource? How much time do your users spend to retrieve assets? Employees can browse and view their digital resources more easily if meta information is implemented correctly.
