Here’s your July release roundup! This month is all about control, giving teams smarter, scalable ways to manage content, metadata, and asset workflows while reducing manual work.

Feature spotlight

Views: Your library, curated for every use case

Managing large libraries often means balancing visibility with precision. Views makes that easier.

You can now create unlimited, rules-based views using standard and custom metadata to surface the right assets for each audience, without duplicating libraries, manual curation, or assets appearing where they shouldn’t.

Enhancements

  • Catalogs: Structured business data in Frontify
Instead of relying on free-text tagging, you can now create or import data catalogs via CSV or API and connect them to metadata properties. This brings more structure to your data layer, improving search, filtering, and governance at scale.

  • Video processing: Fast and reliable at any scale
Large video files and bulk uploads now process more quickly and reliably, even at high volume, so teams can spend less time waiting and more time working with content.
  • Templates: Reuse across libraries
You can now move entire templates between libraries or copy pages between templates, making it easier to scale proven structures across teams and regions.

Small improvements and bug fixes

  • Marketplace app details: New badges now show which surfaces an app supports and whether it’s an automation, making it easier to understand where and how apps can be used.
  • Clearer domain management: The option to create a new domain has been replaced with clearer guidance on how to request and set up a new subdomain.
  • Template editor controls: Text library restriction settings are now only shown when the text library is enabled, keeping the editor relevant to the features available on your account.
  • Navigation manager fix: The navigation manager no longer opens unexpectedly when you’re not in edit mode.
  • Navigation order: Essentials now remains in the correct position at the top of the navigation when working within a library or project.
